Murals brighten and enrich our learning environment. Mural painting is a collaborative process that helps us work our skills and imaginations to improve our surroundings together! The more murals we create at GVCS, the more positive feedback I receive about them, and the more people want them! If you would like to work on a mural somewhere in the GVCS school building, even if you are not enrolled in an art class, please let me know. I would like to form an after-school art club for painting murals and need to know if there is enough interest.
Do you have ideas or suggestions for future murals at GVCS? Email Kristin Buchholz with your ideas at kbuchholz@gvcs.wnyric.org
This mural was painted on the wall of the Jag Enterprises store at GVCS...

A strong jaguar in its natural setting is beginning to appear...

This mural is being painted in the GVCS elementary entrance and will feature a
jaguar who has left his jungle setting. The jag is poised on top of a student's
books after rummaging through their locker!

Students in the Studio in Painting class (who have all done a fantastic job on these murals) are: Matt Austin, Joey Budde, Chrystal Darnley, Amanda Elias, Max Evans, Danielle Hanchett, Kayla Kelly, Kezia Kemp, Jessica Pepe, Chelsea Presutti, and Shawn Witter. Great job! |
